MC Fall/Winter '09 Collection: Part 1

After lots of hard work, my new collection is up, fully photographed, and available in my showroom...and soon also available for purchase online!

Here's another look at the clothes, this time on living, breathing, human bodies. I maintain that my work is nothing without fantastic people wearing what I make.

Happy Seamster

I'm having such fun working on Mr. Beetham's morning coat today. I thought I'd share a few snapshots with you. I love my job!

In The Hopper

For Mr. Gratton: Sheer black organdy dress shirt with turquoise silk charmeuse accents.

For Mr. Beetham: Custom morning coat with steep cutaway in front; brown window pane plaid wool, red silk lining.

For Mr. Caspary: White 4" detachable collar (heavily starched to approximate turn-of-the-century styles; the lived history of the real thing is something that I cannot create - only time can make this possible. A huge blessing would be for this collar to last as long as the ones I gather as collectibles from the last century).

For Mr. Doty: Silver-grey and black striped wool suit; two piece, three buttons; for his wedding day.

For You: Michael Cepress ONLINE STORE, Launching this month!

Safari Jacket | For Mr. Pappas

When Mr. Pappas arrived with a 4 meter length of lovely dark taupe gabardine from his grandmother's fabric collection and a handful of prints showing classic safari jackets styled like those from the early part of the last century, I couldn't help but become instantly excited about offering his wardrobe my take on such a piece. The result is quite a thrill for me (the center box pleat in back being the biggest delight for me), and sits nicely beside the tastes of the east currently on display here in my showroom.
