This image of a Sudanese child soldier is one of the most powerful, compelling and somehow beautiful things that has been shown to me in a long time. I can’t seem to stop thinking about it.

I need to find the article I once read about how these child soldiers have such drastic physical changes - how they're physical growth is abnormal when compared to their actual age.
Do you happen to know the significance of the blue paint in his hair and on his face?
