A Time To Rend | A Time To Sew

As my summer comes to a close and the seasons change, so has the title and pulse of my blog. I've made the move from A Seamster's Summer to A Seamster's Season.

As fashions come and go, we hope the driving pulse stays the same. Afterall, being a seamster is never out of season.

Turn, turn, turn...

I've never met anyone who holds their pencil between the thumb and middle finger...I don't feel quite so alone anymore.

I simply don't understand how anyone could do it another way. Between your index and middle finger...no way! Between your middle and ring finger....i should think not!

You're not alone, my dear.

You're very alone. Be afraid of everyone around you.

How do other people hold them? I guess I never really took a good, close look.

Most people hold their pen between the thumb and pointer finger, an impossible task for a gal like myself...

In an informal assessment of how my students hold their pen/pencil I found that most student do opt for the thumb/pointer combo. Then again, many of my students have poor handwriting.

Perhaps this involves further investigation...
